You must check the schedule before visiting to ensure that Golden Harvest is open. They have limited days and hours but they work incredibly hard to produce some beautiful food. We started with the salmon chowder. It was a fish broth based soup with nice flavor and a hearty amount of salmon. We followed the soup with shared halibut, tuna, and salmon patties. All were good but the halibut was standout with an ample amount of fish, nice spices and a perfect cook. We took away a chicken parmigiana and a shepherd's pie to heat up later. I would highly recommend a pop in to Golden Harvest next time you are in Port Orford.
I stopped here for lunch on a coastal road trip after a little research and reading online reviews. It was the perfect place for lunch outdoors on a beautiful day! It's definitely got that crunchy Oregon farm stand vibe (I say this lovingly as someone from crunchy Eugene). The building itself has a nice rustic charm. I opted for a simple turkey sandwich on hazelnut bread, and then you dress your own sandwich from the salad bar. I added lettuce and tomato with pickle and the onion jam. Everything was very fresh tasting, and you could tell that the pickles and onion jam were definitely house-made. Amazing! I enjoyed eating my sandwich al fresco in their outdoor area, surrounded by trees and flowers. I will definitely return again when I'm in Port Orford and recommend it to my friends.
Delicious panini sandwich and potato salad. They have increased the building size so now have nice indoor seating too.
Delicious, healthy food and friendly service makes this place a necessary stop on your trip.
Great BLT and Turkey cranberry sandwich. The store also provides a small store. There is no physical bathroom so be prepared to use a chemical latrine which would be great if it had an outdoor sink or in the least hand sanitizer. Outside of that it was good food and good customer service.
